Several of the cards found in Premium Pack 2025 are directly connected to the Yu-Gi-Oh OCG Stories manga. This is understandable, given the fact that the manga series is published in shōnen animanga magazine V Jump—a magazine published by Shueisha, the publisher which also runs animanga convention Jump Festa where Premium Pack 2025 was exclusively sold on 21-22 December 2024.

The illustration shown on this Verre Magic – Lacrima of Light depicts a scene taken from Chapter 2 of the Magistus Arc of Yu-Gi-Oh OCG Stories. The scene in question is that of Rilliona attacking Cocytus with the attack after which this card is named. Off-screen, Endymion is also implied to be launching an attack of his own on Cocytus; that attack is Magia Magic: Thor Hammer. As such, those who closely follow the manga are likely to be greatly interested in this card.

The fact that the card depicts a female character further adds to its value; in addition to that, this card is also one of the set’s eight cover cards, thus increasing its visibility. Those who own a copy of the cards depicting each of the two characters shown in the illustration—those cards being Invoked Cocytus and Rilliona, the Magistus of Verre—might also be interested in this card in order to complete the group of cards within the narrative being focused on.
