[Yu-Gi-Oh TCG] D/D Count Surveyor (Premium Pack 2025 25PP-JP014) [Release Date/Price/Where To Buy]
Okay, so its Pendulum Effect wasn't a one-to-one match of what it was in the manga—but is that really THAT big of an issue?
Premium Pack 2025 was an event-exclusive Yu-Gi-Oh TCG product exclusively distributed at Shueisha-organized shōnen animanga convention Jump Festa 2025. Fittingly, many of the cards in Premium Pack 2025 originated from Yu-Gi-Oh manga series which were published in V Jump—an animanga magazine of which Shueisha is the publisher. One such card is D/D Count Surveyor.
About D/D Count Surveyor (Premium Pack 2025 25PP-JP014)
The most notable point regarding D/D Count Surveyor has to do with its Pendulum Effect; it references the Yu-Gi-Oh ARC-V manga from which the character originates. In the manga, the card’s Pendulum Effect treats three of the opponent’s monsters as a single monster with their combined ATK and DEF. The real-life Pendulum Effect targets three monsters controlled by the opponent controls with the same type or attribute as each other and possibly Tributing two of those three—which in turn causes the other to gain ATK and DEF equal to the total ATK and DEF which the Tributed monsters had on the field.
In the Yu-Gi-Oh ARC-V manga, D/D Count Surveyor made an appearance in Chapter 15 during Reiji Akaba’s duel against protagonist Yuya Sakaki. Reiji used its (manga-only) effect to combine Yuya’s three copies of Performapal Card Gardna before attacking and destroying that combination by using D/D/D Supersight King Zero Maxwell.
