In the Yu-Gi-Oh canon, Tenyi Spirit – Mula Adhara has one of the most prominent roles within the storyline surrounding the cards of the Tenyi archetype. Although Tenyi Spirit – Mula Adhara’s character arc was introduced back in 2019 as part of Yu-Gi-Oh TCG Series 10 Core Booster Rising Rampage, it’s only with the release of its titular card that this particular story arc has been wrapped up.

About Tenyi Spirit – Mula Adhara (Supreme Darkness SUDA-JP042)

According to Yu-Gi-Oh’s in-universe lore, the original form of Tenyi Spirit – Mula Adhara was Monk of the Tenyi. Monk of the Tenyi sought to master the secret martial art of Tenyi Style known as Flawless Perfection and traveled with Shaman of the Tenyi to further his training. This card references the storyline by the fact that it’s the combined upgraded form of Monk of the Tenyi and Tenyi Spirit – Adhara.

Another reference can be seen in Eternal Perfection of the Tenyi, another Supreme Darkness card. That card’s illustration shows Monk of the Tenyi transforming into Tenyi Spirit – Mula Adhara. As such, those who are well-versed with Yu-Gi-Oh’s world-building and lore will be drawn to this card.

This card is a counterpart of the Draco Berserker of the Tenyi from Chaos Impact. Both cards have the same ATK and DEF but opposite attributes of Light and Dark respectively. Both characters depicted also gain draconic physical features upon their respective enhancements by their related Tenyi Spirit cards. Finally, both their bonuses are related to Effect Monsters in different ways.

This card’s English release will take place on 23 January 2025 as part of Supreme Darkness.
