Benn Beckman, the second-in-command of the Red Hair Pirates led by Shanks, has almost entirely been seen in that capacity throughout the entire One Piece manga. However, with the release of Emperors in the New World [OP-09]—a ONE PIECE Card Game set centered around the Four Emperors (including Shanks), characters and relevant plot points connected to them received a secondary spotlight. As such, Beckman’s appearance on one of the set’s more notable pulls is understandable.

About Benn Beckman (Emperors in the New World [OP-09] OP09-009)

This Super Rare Parallel (SR-P) card’s Parallel Art illustration depicts Beckman firing his rifle at an unspecified target; the impact of the shot can clearly be seen. Beckman can also be seen holding his cigarette between two of his left hand’s fingers. As such, both of his most character-defining features can be seen in the card’s illustration.

From a gameplay perspective, this card synergizes well with the Red Shanks deck featuring its titular Leader card which was also released in Emperors in the New World [OP-09]. Should that decks end up becoming metagame-relevant, this card could end up being relatively impactful in tournament play.

Release Details

This card will be launched in English in December 2024 along with the rest of Emperors in the New World [OP-09].

A copy of a Benn Beckman (Emperors in the New World [OP-09] OP09-009) card of SR-P rarity has a price of 2,900 JPY (~US$20).
