Recently-released Yu-Gi-Oh TCG Core Booster Rage of the Abyss introduced three new card archetypes of which one was the Primoredial archetype. There were five cards in total of this archetype; of the five, by far the biggest pull was Imperial Dragon Primoredial Dragon.

As part of an entirely new archetype, the card’s novelty factor is the primary driving force behind its value. It’s also hinted at in other Primoredial cards such as Primoredial Opener and Primoredial Schiller; Imperial Dragon Primoredial Dragon appears in the illustrations of both.

This is one of just two Primoredial cards which can come in Quarter Century Secret Rare, the rarity created to commemorate the Yu-Gi-Oh TCG’s 25th anniversary. Of the two, this card is by far the more visually striking, making it the more prized card to claim.

This card’s English release date will be 10 October 2024, the official English launch of Rage of the Abyss.

Buying a Quarter Century Secret Rare Imperial Dragon Primoredial Dragon (Rage of the Abyss ROTA-JP013) card costs 4,000 JPY (~US$26).
