[Update 27 Sep 2024] This isn’t just an exceptionally rare and valuable card anymore—it’s now viable in gameplay as well. As part of the Red/Blue Marco deck, this card is ideally played in the late game to not only deal heavy damage, but also reduce the Power of opposing Characters. In this way, it sets up potentially game-ending KOs.

Whenever a new ONE PIECE Card Game set is released, the question on the forefront of everyone’s mind is inevitably the same: “what card will be the Manga Rare?” Manga Rare cards are the rarest of them all—cards so named because they feature panels from the One Piece manga across the background. In the case of the recently-released Two Legends [OP-08], that honor goes to the Silvers Rayleigh card.

Rayleigh, nicknamed the “Dark King”, is one of the two figures to whom this set’s title alludes—the other is Edward Newgate. In the One Piece canon, Rayleigh was formerly Gol D. Roger’s right-hand man before later mentoring protagonist Monkey D. Luffy in the use of Haki, an otherworldly power that augments one’s abilities in combat.

In addition to the extreme rarity of this Secret Rare Special (SEC-SP) card, the holofoil that covers the card provides a spectrum-like effect that adds a unique visual touch apt for the set’s biggest pull. Like other Manga Rares, expect demand for this card to remain sky-high—especially over the period immediately following the set’s launch.

This card hasn’t yet been released in English.

One copy of a Silvers Rayleigh (Two Legends [OP-08] OP08-118) card of SEC-SP rarity has a sale price of 130,000 JPY (~US$829).
