Since Nike and Kobe Bryant’s estate renewed their partnership in 2022, many special releases have come, soliciting both nostalgia by way of familiar colorways, and novelty through new ones.

Some standouts include the “Mambacita” colorway of the Kobe Protro 8, the “Mambacita Sweet 16” of the 6, and the “Black” (Gift of Mamba) of the 4. And similar to the upcoming Team Bank Pack, next in line is this “Champagne Gold” 8—surfacing shortly after last week’s “Grey/Black”.

Sesame addresses the majority of the upper, save for the branding elements; where Black gives them contrast on the profile Swooshes, Kobe’s “Sheath” logo on the tongue and heel tab, as well as his signature on the lateral heel. They’re finished off with a White sole unit.

A release date of the Nike Kobe 8 Protro “Champagne Gold” hasn’t been disclosed but Knowing Kicks has generously provided a slew of images of the pair—both product and on-feet pictures. They’re expected to go live sometime this year with an RRP of US$190. Stay tuned!
