The 10-card Yu Nagaba x Pokémon Card Game collection, a collaboration between Creatures Inc. and contemporary artist Yu Nagaba, features 10 promotional Pokémon TCG cards with illustrations done in Nagaba’s signature line art style. These cards include Pikachu, Eevee, and all eight Eeveelutions. Demand for these cards, and thus their value, has been rapidly increasing recently—including for this Jolteon card.

There’s a valid case to be made that from a visual perspective, Nagaba’s line art is more suited to Jolteon than it is for any other Eeveelution. This is because of the spiky fur that coats the Electric-type Eeveelution; this feature makes it a natural fit for a line-art illustration.

In addition to the fact that this card is part of the collab with Nagaba, the a line-art illustration itself also drives up its value because very few other cards make use of such an art style. To highlight the collaboration between Creatures Inc. and Nagaba, this card—like all the others in the collab—features the logo on its right side.

Eeveelutions have always been fan favorites, so this card is also appealing due to the Pokémon shown on it. There’s also the appeal to completionists to be factored in because of this card’s status as part of a special promotional collection.
