ONE PIECE Card Game Sabo

The Chief of Staff of the Revolutionary Army, Sabo is best known as one of the two sworn brothers of One Piece protagonist Monkey D. Luffy. This has made him a fan favorite despite his relatively late introduction—almost at the end of the first half of the One Piece manga. For that reason, placing him on one of the two Secret Rare Parallel (SEC-P) cards of ONE PIECE Card Game set 500 Years in the Future [OP-07] wasn’t a difficult decision on BANDAI’s part.

The card’s Parallel Art illustration depicts Sabo having infused his fist with his Color of Arms Haki. In the One Piece manga, Sabo is one of the most skilled users of this form of Haki which enables its user to use their own spiritual energy to create an invisible armor-esque protection around the user while also allowing for greater offensive capabilities in combat.

Also visible in the illustration is Sabo’s metal pipe which he has used on multiple occasions for both attack and defense against multiple different adversaries throughout the series. There are also faint embers around him, hinting that he’s gearing up to attack with the powers of his Devil Fruit, the Flame-Flame Fruit from which his epithet of the “Flame Emperor” derives. All of these direct references to the manga are likely to impress many potential buyers.

This card will be released in English on 28 June 2024 along with the rest of 500 Years in the Future [OP-07].

A Sabo (500 Years in the Future [OP-07] OP07-118) card goes for 3,600 JPY (~US$23) according to the latest numbers.
