[Yu-Gi-Oh TCG] Madolche Queen Tiara a-la-Fraise Reigns Supreme (Infinite Forbidden INFO-JP044)
Madolche Queen Tiara a-la-Fraise is all of us when we pull a version of this card that isn't Quarter Century Secret Rare.
The high level of fan appeal that the Madolche Queen Tiara a-la-Fraise card from the Infinite Forbidden Core Booster might initially come as a surprise to some. After all, it’s not like this card’s character is particularly iconic; neither was this card or any related to it featured in the Yu-Gi-Oh anime or any of its spin-offs. Its archetype isn’t a new one, either. However, there are several reasons why this card has emerged as a sleeper hit and an underrated pull.
For one thing, this card can come as a Quarter Century Secret Rare—the rarity level created to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Yu-Gi-Oh TCG. The fact that this card features a female character is relevant as well; such cards always receive a bump value-wise.
The card’s illustration itself features an interesting juxtaposition as well. The image’s overall tone can best be described as “whimsical”, with Madolche Queen Tiara a-la-Fraise seated on her throne made of strawberry-flavored desserts and a pastel-colored bird, rabbit, and squirrel all visible. This sets up a clear contrast to the expression that the unimpressed, somewhat disgruntled expression the queen wears on her face.
This card’s English version hasn’t yet been released.
One copy of a Madolche Queen Tiara a-la-Fraise (Infinite Forbidden INFO-JP044) costs 6,500 JPY (~US$42).
