In the Pokémon Legends: Arceus video game, the prequel to Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, the Diamond Clan and Pearl Clan played significant roles in the storyline. The feud between the two clans, who worshipped Dialga and Palkia respectively as the creator of the Hisui region and accused the other of heresy, was not only a crucial plot point; it also introduced several new characters to the Pokémon franchise including Pearl Clan leader Irida who’s featured on this card from VSTAR Universe [S12a].

The Full Art illustration on this Special Art Rare (SAR) card pictures Irida with the rest of the Pearl Clan Wardens: Lian, Calaba, Palina, Ingo, and Gaeric. The image emphasizes the collective solidarity of the clan—in both their own beliefs and their stance against those of the Diamond Clan.

This being a Full Art illustration of a female character, its status as a prized pull from its set was always inevitable. Additionally, there’s a bonus for those interested in that element because Palina can also clearly be seen in the same image.
