[ONE PIECE Card Game] The Ex-Princess of Dressrosa Enters the Fray: Rebecca (Kingdoms of Intrigue [OP-04] OP04-039)
This card would probably be banned in some countries.
Long before relinquishing her position as crown princess of Dressrosa, Rebecca was forced to fight as a gladiator at the Corrida Colosseum under Donquixote Doflamingo’s regime. While doing so, she entered a tournament with the highly powerful Flame-Flame Fruit at stake. This card from the ONE PIECE Card Game booster pack Kingdoms of Intrigue [OP-04] makes reference to those events.
The card shows Rebecca in her gladiatorial wear sans her helmet, her shield in her left hand and her sword in her right. The top portion of the illustration shows her father Kyros in both his forms—as a human and as a toy after having been turned into one by Sugar, a special officer working for Doflamingo. The multicolored background pairs with the holofoil in such a way so as to make Rebecca appear to be emerging and primed for combat.
At this point, we would be remiss not to point out the obvious. Extremely scantily clad in her gladiatorial wear, the visual appeal of this card to the target demographic speaks for itself. As if the card’s sex appeal weren’t already enough, the fact that she’s holding a sword takes it to another level—the literal meaning as well as metaphorical implications are evident.
This card has been released in English.
The price of a Rebecca (Kingdoms of Intrigue [OP-04] OP04-039) card in peak condition is 5,600 JPY (~US$37).
