[Pokémon TCG] 11 New English Promotional Cards to Drop Soon [Release Date: 12 April 2024]
Headlined by Darkrai ex, each of the 11 cards was first released in Japanese via Battle Academy.
The list of promotional Pokémon TCG cards which are tournament-legal as published by Pokémon.com has received an update—and through that update, some major information has come to light.
According to this latest update, 11 promotional cards—all in English—will become tournament-legal on 26 April. This therefore means that they will be released on 12 April 2024 because a card becomes tournament-legal exactly two weeks following its release.
The 11 cards that will be released are English versions of Armarouge ex, Pikachu ex, Mareep, Flaaffy, Ampharos, Pawniard, Bisharp, Kingambit, Picnicker, Miraidon, and Darkrai ex—the headliner of this collection. Each of these cards was first released in Japanese via Battle Academy.
While the exact nature of these releases is yet to be determined, speculation is rife. Among the leading rumors at the moment include these cards’ possible launch through a product that as of now is unlisted by distributors or as part of Play Lab Demo Decks to be issued by The Pokémon Company International (TPCi) at the upcoming Pokémon Europe International Championships (EUIC) to be held in London.
As these cards won’t be hitting the open market for a while, retail prices remain unknown for the time being.
