[Yu-Gi-Oh TCG] Promethean Princess, Bestower of Flames Cranks Up the Heat (Phantom Nightmare PHNI-JP052)
Big props to anyone who knew what the word "Promethean" means without looking it up.
The release of the Phantom Nightmare Core Booster brought with it certain cards which quickly shot to mass popularity among the Yu-Gi-Oh TCG fanbase. One such card was Promethean Princess, Bestower of Flames—a Fire Monster card making its series debut.
This card is a great fit for any deck loaded with plenty of Fire Monsters. Its ability to summon Fire Monsters from a player’s Graveyard is the perfect tool to prime the deck for combat; in addition, if this card happens to be in the Graveyard itself, the player may use it to destroy a Fire Monster on both the player’s and opponent’s side.
This card can come in Quarter Century Secret Rare form—the exclusive rarity created in honor of the Yu-Gi-Oh TCG’s 25th anniversary. Its utility and novelty—being the first-ever card of this character—help elevate its value as well.
We would, of course, have to note the fact that the “female character boost” is in play too—a factor which seems to have been actively taken into consideration by the illustrator, as shown by the character’s form-fitting armor. Having said that, this isn’t the card’s only visual appeal—the image of the character controlling an infernal beast behind her portrays ideas of exceptional power and strength.
This card has already been released in English.
The price of a Quarter Century Secret Rare version of Promethean Princess, Bestower of Flames (Phantom Nightmare PHNI-JP052) is ¥18,800 (~US$127).
