Japan-based retailer BEAMS is certainly one of the biggest in the nation—and that comes with the privilege of working with the biggest footwear brands frequently. Renewing their love affair with New Balance, the duo is set to work on what seems to be a 996, infused with GORE-TEX technology and made for the colder seasons.

The collaboration will see the 996, also celebrating its 35th anniversary this year, dressed in earthly tones comprising greens, browns, and navy. The overall presentation gives it a militaristic vibe, using colors familiar with the evergreen woodland camo design. To further strengthen that point, the collaborative shoe is also coated with GORE-TEX technology, to help wearers withstand harsher conditions without any issues.
