Look beyond the colorway. Promoting the maxim of "forging your own path", this limited-edition sneaker would be a Gryffindor house if it were a part of the Harry Potter series.

Since 1949, Baltimore’s YCMC has been a trusted merchant with a wide selection of renowned name brands, including Nike, Jordan, adidas, and New Balance to mention a few. Additionally, many fans of NB were thrown off balance when the retailer introduced the simple yet fashionable 990v3 in August 2022.

In adjacent, the Boston-based label released some highly anticipated partnerships last year. With no plans to slow down anytime soon, YCMC and NB are running it back to start off February by releasing another distinctive 990v3 that was inspired by trailblazers.

YCMC’s website quotes individuals who “blaze your own trail” as the source of inspiration for this unique pair, which is a progressive adaptation of old outdoor styles from a modern lifestyle perspective.

The quality hairy suede, breathable mesh, and nubuck overlays in various shades of green cover the upper of the 990v3, which has a superb structure. The v3’s unique midsole, which combines comfort and style, is embellished with speckling along the ENCAP cushioning. Reflective ‘N’ branding runs along the sides of the shoe, in addition to the standard New Balance emblem over the tongue and heel and the embroidered of “990.” Four lace options—one rope-style lace, three flat cotton laces that match one another in color, and one flat cotton lace in a different shade—are included with each pair.

The YCMC x New Balance 990v3 will go on sale for US$195 on 2 February on YCMC.com in men’s sizes (7.5-13).

One of the most sought-after Air Jordan 1 Highs in “Satin Bred”, which is said to be making a comeback this year, is something else you wouldn’t want to miss in the world of footwear.
