Look Out for the Nike Air Jordan 6 “Aqua” on 7 October
A palette borrowed from one of the 8's OG colorways.
There is a design language that Tinker Hatfield has established in his long tenure as lead designer from the Air Jordan 3 to 15. It’s evident across each silhouette with one of its most distinct forms being the titular AJ6.
There’re many features unique to the model that’s made it a fan favorite such as the pull tab on the heel reminiscent of a car’s spoiler, and the holes on the tongue that functions as a pull tab. Throughout its many iterations, as a high-top or low, these toolings were a mainstay.
In continuance of its evolution, the model borrows from one of the Air Jordan 8’s OG colorways. Black works in harmony with “Bright Concord” purple and “Aquatone” blue to create a novel aesthetic yet retaining its familiarity. Black nubuck is used for the upper’s construction, and the aforementioned accents adorn the stacked sole unit.
The Nike Air Jordan 6 “Aqua” is scheduled for release on 7 October with an RRP of US$200. They’ll be availed in full-family sizing with GS sizes going for US$150; PS, US$80; and TD for US$60. Find them on Nike SNKRS come D-Day.
