[Update 2 May 2023] Alongside latest imagery of the Nike Air Jordan 1 KO Low “Shadow”, a release date of 1 May via retailers such as Sneaker Politics has also been revealed. Take a look at them on the article slider above and expect the pair to arrive alongside a “Kentucky” colorway. In the meantime, stay tuned for more updates on a Nike release.

In 1985, the Air Jordan 1 KO, abbreviated to AJKO, made its debut. The “KO” is apocryphally thought to stand for “knock-off” as in a less expensive version of the authentic Air Jordan 1 High. Its been in-and-out of rotation over the years, but has become more a mainstay in recent times. One of which is the Air Jordan 1 KO Low “Bred”, with the titular “Shadow” succeeding it.

The palette of Black, Sail, and Medium Grey pay homage to the original “Shadow” colorway. The pair in discussion features a constrained Black and Grey canvas base, along with Grey suede Swooshes and a leather heel overlay. The tongue tags and insole include “Nike” emblems, while the heels feature black Jordan Wings embroidery. The design is finished off by black rubber outsoles, aged midsoles, and tongues with black nylon. Like its kind, sizing is also stamped on the inner lining.

There’s no release date yet but it’s projected to be out within the summer. When they are, expect to find them on Nike’s brick-and-click for US$120.
