Converse Japan will release their Made in Japan collection soon and therein are three colorways of the Starfire SC J. The first in Red, takes the form of its original colorway; followed by a Gray and Black. The hybrid design takes cues from the Star Cruiser of the late 1970s, blending traditional form and contemporary technology.

Hairy suede is layered over a Cordura ripstop base, while the Vibram Megagrip sole unit provides unparalleled traction and durability over any terrain in the concrete jungle. The pair also boasts Ortholite insoles for lasting comfort that most sneakers can’t compare to.

The pairs are expected to drop on 25 August with an RRP of 22,000 JPY (US$150). Find them on Converse Japan’s official website come D-Day.
