The New Balance 580 “Cosmic Rose” Adds Colors to the Staple Grey
Maintaining its simple aesthetic with a burst of pink and blue.
The New Balance 580 might not be every NB collector’s cup of tea, but the silhouette comes with rich history. Originally a Japan exclusive, the 580 took over 11 years to finally make its long-awaited debut overseas. Now, the Boston-based brand is expanding its lineup, with the all-new New Balance 580 “Cosmic Rose” coming soon.
Following news of the “Raincloud” emerging recently, this iteration takes on similar cues in terms of its suede upper. The same shade of “Raincloud” grey appears on the sneaker’s upper, however black appears on the heel this time around. Adding more diversity to the sneaker’s design, small accents of sky blue and the titular “Cosmic Rose” pink appear on the eyestays, profile “N” logo, and the Rollbar. It’s a small twist to an otherwise staple NB grey shoe, but one that’s welcome.
