Storm Reid has been a New Balance ambassador since October 2021, though this marks her inaugural sneaker launch with the Boston shoemaker. The silhouette is a relatively new model debuting last year, and for this styling, Reid takes inspiration from her Atlanta hometown’s vibrant early noughties scene, honoring the city’s cultural impact and her childhood.

The pair-in-question sit atop a durable rubber sole unit, with the upper constructed with nylon underlays, suede overlays, a sockliner, colored aglets, and custom tongue tags featuring the actress’s autograph.

 Storm Reid expresses her sentiments sharing, “My first New Balance collaboration is truly special, reflecting my Atlanta childhood. I’m grateful for their support in designing this shoe and capturing my roots and hometown culture.”

The pair will be released on 4 August for US$110, and be availed in unisex sizing exclusively on New Balance’s North America website.
