With hiking/trail shoes now being acceptable fashion thanks to the emergence and establishment of gorpcore, many brands in the space that specialize in outdoor gear have seen an increase in popularity within fashion circles. Consider Salomon, KEEN, and HOKA ONE ONE. Each of the aforementioned have delivered stylish iterations of their footwear, amalgamating fashion and function.
Although New Balance are best known for their vintage styles, they have found their footing in the same arena, thanks in part to the titular Fresh Foam X Trail More v3. There’ve been many inline releases of the model but it’s delivered this time in a fiery combination of black and orange.
Typically, the sole unit is the most important aspect of these shoes. To make the excursions through the great outdoors as easy on the feet as they are on the eyes, the stacked height of the Fresh Foam X midsole is paired with the superior grip of a Vibram lugged outsole. To counteract the weight of the construction below, the upper is made with a lightweight, breathable, engineered knit textile.
The body sees a predominantly black outfitting with contrast introduced by way of orange accents on the New Balance branding on the quarter, tongue tag, and midsole. Additionally, the grey laces and the beige panel on the heel counter that holds the pull tab.
Considering the images are leaks, no release details have surfaced with them. But more information shouldn’t be far behind so stay tuned!
