Barbie is dominating the pop culture zeitgeist at the moment with the release of the film starring real-life Barbie herself, Margot Robbie. It’s a marketer’s goldmine and many brands have hopped onto the bandwagon to deliver pinkified takes of their offerings.

Although none are official collaborations with the Mattel IP, Nike has delivered several inspired colorways of their most well-known silhouettes such as the Dunk Low, Blazer Mid, and Air Max Scorpion. And the latest to join the group is the retrofuturistic Zoom Vomero 5. A sneaker that is too at its apex.

The pair features a mesh-based upper engulfed in a variety of Barbie-esque soft pink tones. A darker hue addresses overlays, profile Swooshes, and the 3M reflective quarter panels. Intrinsically unique is the star embroidery on the tongue tag presided over by the Nike branding. The whole aesthetic is anchored by a white midsole and pink outsole.

Whether it’s intended to be in conjunction with the film, there isn’t a release date yet. If so, then more details should surface imminently considering the movie is in the middle of its theatrical run.
