Following news of Nike relaunching the Kobe brand later this year, the Beaverton-based brand has been busy preparing a slew of Black Mamba releases. These include the Nike Kobe 6 Protro “Reverse Grinch” and Nike Kobe 8 Protro “Radiant Emerald”, among others. Straying away from basketball shoes, Nike is now readying one of his PE-style Air Force 1 Lows for a release in 2024.

First leaked by reliable insiders @zsneakerheadz and @sneakerfiles, the Nike Air Force 1 “Kobe Bryant” will make its return to the shelves next year. Originally a kids’-exclusive sneaker that dropped in 2009, it’s themed around the Lakers with a “White/Varsity Maize/Varsity Purple” color scheme.

No images of the new offering have surfaced just yet, which also means that the actual 2024 release might come with a slightly different color blocking. It’s also unsure if motifs from the 2009 pair, such as Kobe’s branding and “24” jersey number, will make its way to the heels of the 2024 shoe.

For the time being, take a trip down memory lane and re-visit the 2009 Nike Air Force 1 Low “Kobe Bryant” via the top slider above. Stay tuned for more updates!
