Japanese Streetwear Brand Meanswhile Teams Up With Converse on an Odessa
One for Gorpcore lovers.
Converse certainly has been busy with collaborations in recent times, with incoming tie-ups with the likes of agnès b. and A-COLD-WALL* on its way. That being said, this upcoming partnership is a bit of a unique one. Teaming up with niche Japanese streetwear brand meanswhile, the duo are set to work on a lesser-known silhouette originally from 1985, the Converse Odessa.
Dubbed as the “OSS CP”, this collaboration sees the Odessa’s side lacing system reworked slightly to feature a more technical outlook. It features suede on most of its upper, with the entirety of the upper’s medial side draped in a shroud. Around the back, “CONVERSE CAMPING SUPPLY” is stamped on the heel.
The meanswhile x Converse Odessa “OSS CP” will launch on 14 July in two colorways, white and light grey. It will retail for 23,100 JPY (~US$160) on both Converse and Meanswhile.
