Rick Owens DRKSHDW x Converse Returns With Another TURBO Pack
An unconventional update to the past releases.
It takes a lot for something to be identified at first glance but with Rick Owens’ designs, not so much. Partnering with Converse since 2021 through his DRKSHDW line, the avant-garde master has established a signature aesthetic with the past few releases and the duo are now back again for their latest take on the TURBO series.
Returning with both the TURBODRK Chuck 70 Hi and TURBOWPN, the duo offers a fresh update to the silhouettes through various material and color choices. On the TURBODRK Chuck 70 Hi, zebra jacquard prints adorn sherpa fleece uppers, replacing the traditional choices of canvas as seen on the previous releases. Equipped with an elongated tongue and squared toe-cap that screams the name of Owens, a distorted aesthetic has been granted to the classic offering of Converse.
On the TURBOWPN, a classic take of black and milk leather panels outfits the spoken silhouette, reflecting an outlook that resembles his all-time signature Geobasket sneaker. Added with pentagon shaped cutouts on the sides, tonal laces completes a versatile look that matches well with any of his apparel offerings.
Last but not least, a range of accessories arrived in the form of Go Lo and Go 2 backpacks, finished in matching prints and materials as found on the TURBODRK Chuck 70 Hi.
Set to release on 10th January, the latest Rick Owens DRKSHDW x Converse collection will be made available via Converse, Rick Owens and selected retailers.
