Shoe Palace started as a singular brick-and-mortar store in San Jose, California, in 1993. Many things have happened in the three decades since. They’ve flourished to be one of the most trusted athletic footwear and apparel retail chains—while remaining family-owned. To celebrate their 30 years in business, they’re releasing a special New Balance 2002R.

The “Lands End” name takes after the park in San Francisco, an homage to the city’s historical landmarks that helped shape Bay Area culture. From the natural hues of the rocky coastline above the ocean, the shaded cypress and eucalyptus tree stands, to the hidden labyrinth; all work in tandem to inspire the motifs that dress the commemorative pair.

The Grey and White base is inspired by the region’s rocky landscape; the accompanying blue laces represent the ocean; the alternate pink laces, tints from the Golden Gate Bridge; the green insole, the local eucalyptus trees; while presided over by a labyrinth pattern derivative of the destination point at the lookout.

Find them on Shoe Palace’s website from 7 July with a price tag of US$150.
