Illustrator Hiroshi Nagai is best known for creating the album covers for singer-songwriter Eiichi Otaki’s albums “Along Vacation” and “Niagara Songbook”, his tropical and clear landscape artworks greatly influencing the aesthetic synonymous with Japanese City Pop to this day.

For the fans of the subgenre, you can now carry a piece of the nostalgia with you wherever you go. Two designs of Nagai’s will be the centerpiece in his collaboration with Manhattan Portage. Each model will come in two colors: the daylight graphics will be imprinted over the Natural canvas with the sunset one over Black.

Find them on the Shea Tote Bag, Allen Street Shoulder Bag, Messenger Bag, Afropunk Shoulder Bag, and the Bric Sachoche Bag.

They’ll be availed at Manhattan Portage JP’s brick-and-click stores from 8 July with a pre-sale the day before on the 7th at their website. Prices range between 5,940 JPY (~US$41) to 13,200 JPY (~US$91).
