[Update 28 Jun 2023] After Paris Fashion Week, Dime’s co-owner Vincent Tsang took to his Instagram to review his endeavors. In the pictures, he revealed another colorway of the upcoming Dime x ASICS GT-2160, along with more images from the first cream and gray one. The new green and navy version boasts the same gradient finish as its sibling, with Dime’s logo present on the heel. Paris Fashion Week may be one of the fashion world’s marquee events. More established houses and their runways may draw the spotlight and eyes, but Dime recently peered from the shadows this week by showcasing their upcoming Dime x ASICS GT-2160 collaboration.
The Montreal-based streetwear brand utilizes a muted palette of neutral tones and gradients to dress the pair. Off-white endows the mesh toe boxes, laces, and ASICS tiger stripe, before gradating to muted grey collars, heels, and metallic silver overlays. Dime marks their space on the lateral heel, while presided over by the “GT-2160” embossment.
The midsole divides into four colored fractions underfoot, wherein a muted gray is applied to the forefoot, which then changes to a rustic gold color in the middle, and white and gray paneling in the back.
The pair will be released on 22 June through 3537’s FÊTE DE LA MUSIQUE event but a wider release should take place within the coming months. Details should emerge soon so stay tuned!
