Originally an NFT Project, the PUMA FASTROID Gets a Physical Release
Featuring "never-before-seen volumes of cushioning."
In September last year, during PUMA’s “Futrograde” show in New York Fashion Week, the PUMA FASTROID NITRO debuted. Originally designed as an NFT, sold through PUMA’s interactive Black Station platform, 2,000 pairs of the titular pair and partner NFRNO NITRO were availed. And now, a physical release has arrived. A second “Triple Black” was made in line with this physical distribution.
The shoe’s first colorway blacks out the upper while sitting atop the NITRO sole unit. This, giving the branding on the lateral a strong contrast.
The tooling of both feature lightweight, specifically designed ULTRAWEAVE material on the upper, with PWRTAPE integrated throughout for increased stability. The “PWRPLATE” carbon plate midsole exhibits the qualities of “NITRO FOAM” with an unusual sole height to provide the greatest amount of cushioning.
The pairs went live on 13 May for JPY71,500 (~US$523), available exclusively on the PUMA App.
