Franck Pellegrino Turns Clarks Originals’ Wallabee Into a Canvas for His Signature Typography
Another artistic transfiguration of the Wallabees.
[Update 29 Feb 2024] Following an early release via select retailers., the Franck Pellegrino x Clarks Originals Wallabee “Red Combi” will officially launch today, 29 February 11AM (JST) via UNITED ARROWS & SONS in Japan. Each pair retails at 34,100 JPY (~US$230).
Multidisciplinary Parisian artist Franck Pellegrino has recently collaborated with Clarks Originals for his unique reinvention of the latter’s iconic Wallabee silhouette.
Three were produced with each pair regaling the high-quality Khaki suede base layer of the model. Each featuring a similar color-blocking and decorative stitching. Each sitting atop the hallmark crepe sole of the British shoemaker. Although they may deviate in color—offered in brown, black, or red—they’re all unified by the artist’s distinctive signature typography.
Release details haven’t been disclosed but they should emerge soon with Clarks having teased the shoes on their official Instagram account. Stay tuned! Till then, just enjoy the artful depiction of the shoes in the image gallery above.
