[Update 16 Jun 2023] The Nike Cortez “Burnished”, now officially known as “Unmuted” is said to arrive on 21 June via Nike SNKRS and select retailers in Women’s sizing. Retail price tag is set at 145 CAD (~US$110).

In 2023, the Nike Cortez will see several general releases in addition to other collaborations. Following the first look of the shrouded “Yin and Yang” pair, the Swoosh will introduce a new one replicating a vintage burnish finish on the profiles.

The color palette of Black, Red, and Coconut Milk dress the mesh tongues and leather construction. A burnished finish run the length of the panels on the profiles where the laces, lining, and heel tabs are presented in Coconut Milk for contrast. The ‘NIKE’ insignia on the heels come in dark red, finished off with the Black eyestays and profile Swooshes, along with a Dark Red rubber sole unit.

A release is projected to be within the year though the specificities haven’t been disclosed. When they do hit the stores, expect to find them for US$100.
