Staying faithful to its ethos.

“ADISH” is the Hebrew word for ‘apathetic’ or ‘indifferent’, which are the very sentiments the Israeli–Palestinian brand is challenging: the “apathy we (Adish) saw amongst the majority of Israelis towards the occupation and oppression of Palestinians.” Each of their collection is aimed at “raising awareness to the ongoing injustices happening on a daily basis in Palestine”, in addition to aiding other humanitarian causes like medical relief for organizations in Gaza.

While they’re helping others in their cause, Suicoke is helping them in theirs. For the second time, the two parties produce a footwear collection but this time with a very specific rollout. It’s a testament to Adish’s loyalty and focus to their ethos. It’s not an MO that’s performed to raise revenue, it’s one done to raise awareness.

Five designs and five cities, each one designated exclusively to a Dover Street Market chapter: Ginza, Beijing, New York, Los Angeles, and Seoul.

Adish exercises its artisanal proclivities on the cotton, linen upper of the Suicoke staple ZAVO sandals, becoming a canvas for the traditional Palestinian handmade embroidery to become a centerpiece. The floral artwork traverse the different city-exclusive designs, varying only in color, while threaded together by their branding on the tongue.

Find them in their specific DSM stores for JPY39,600 (~US$305).
