Despite (or perhaps, because of) COMME des GARÇONS SHIRT’s bolder apparel range, simplicity is the rule when it comes to CdG SHIRT’s preferences on feet. This remains true in the Japanese label’s latest partnering with fellow Japanese sneaker brand ASICS, resulting in a two-pack Vic NBD.

As per the chic coloring of CdG SHIRT’s parent brand, white and black colorways arrive atop synthetic uppers. ASICS’ usual streaks are camouflaged and co-branding is subtly placed on tongue labels and insoles. The rubber sole unit looks straightforward, but is equipped with BLAST FOAM cushioning for added comfort.

This two-pack capsule is the epitome of COMME des GARÇONS SHIRTS’ approach towards footwear—simple, understated and with minimal branding. It’s an IYKYK pair at its quintessence, and is now available on Dover Street Market for US$365 (SG$495).
