If you’re a fan of golf, you already know what’s around the corner. Come early April, one of the sport’s most prestigious events, the Masters, will take place at Augusta National Golf Club. There’s no doubt that footwear brands will look to leverage the popularity of the event, and we’ve already seen Nike’s Augusta tribute with the Air Max 1 Golf “Always Fresh”.

Hopping on the Masters’ fever is ASICS, putting forth a GEL-Lyte III that’s crafted just for the occasion. While unofficial, the design of the upcoming GEL-Lyte III “Shamrock” is definitely influenced by the greens. The highlight: suede uppers that come in a color that’s reminiscent of the Masters’ ceremonial green jacket.

Elsewhere, small hints of yellow appear on the toe box, eyestays, and inner lining, providing a contrasting pop of color on the all-clad green makeup. Around the back, the ASICS logo is coated in red, with the signature “GEL” branding coming in the same shade of yellow as aforementioned.

Rounding off the design is a clean white midsole along with a tan-treated outsole underfoot, giving off a look that’s similar to a sand trap on the fairways.

While a release date has not been confirmed, expect to find this ASICS GEL-Lyte III “Shamrock” at ASICS stores and select retailers in the coming weeks. Stay tuned as we’ll bring you the latest updates as soon as we can.
