It could be argued that Balenciaga is a social experiment in pushing the boundaries of how people view fashion, but there’s no denying that the luxury label has established a persistent trend of “dad shoes” and transformed people’s perceptions of high-end streetwear.

Taking into account the label’s pattern of releases, a mule transformation is pretty much considered inevitable with their sneaker silhouettes, but we certainly did not expect it to happen so soon, especially with the 3XL Trainer which just debuted a month back.

Revealed by @demnagram, the 3XL Trainer takes on the slip-on construction, removing the heel area while retaining all other design elements including chunky arched soles and oversized laces.

Suggesting its availability in-store, an online release is expected to arrive in the near future so keep an eye on Balenciaga’s official website for additional information regarding pricing and available color options.
