In honor of the upcoming premiere of “The Super Mario Bros. Movie” in April, footwear label Red Wing Shoes has created a replica footwear worn by the movie’s protagonist, Mario.

Hand-crafted down to every detail, the “Mario’s Boots” features a sturdy leather work boot construction, with an exaggerated reinforced toe cap and mushroom-infused heel cap. The pair is also noted for its flame resistant properties, reflecting Mario’s ability to traverse challenging conditions between stages in his games.

Regrettably, the Red Wing “Mario’s Boots” were said to be a special pair made specifically for the movie and will not see a general release. But with the recent hype gathered around the MSCHF’s Astro Boy Boots, it’s worth remaining optimistic that they may be released for sale in the future.
