A New Air Jordan 1 Low “UNC” PE Just for the UNC Tar Heels
It's a good day to be a North Carolina Tar Heels football player.
Jordan Brand always had a soft spot for The University of North Carolina. After all, it was the same school that Michael Jordan went to before he joined the NBA. The legacy of Jordan’s alma mater holds strong even until today, with the “UNC” colorway being one of the most iconic color schemes for the Jumpman.
Showing more love to the school, the Jordan Brand recently unveiled a brand new Nike Air Jordan 1 Low OG “UNC” PE made exclusively for the North Carolina Tar Heels football team players.
Presented on @uncfootball‘s Instagram, the Jordan 1 Low PE features the iconic blue-and-white makeup across its upper. Premium tooling has certainly been added, with a clean white layer of suede featuring at the core.
Cracked University Blue overlays and safari-textured Swoosh overlays add on to the extravagance of the sneaker, along with quilted satin liners and graphic insoles. Mashing it all into a cohesive unit is its Sail-treated midsole and gum outsole underfoot, a point of contrast from the blue-and-white upper.
If you’re ogling over them like we are, unfortunately we’ll never have the chance to buy them for retail. These will only be given to players on the UNC football team, hence the PE title. That being said, keep a lookout for these on our app if you really want them.
