VETEMENTS x New Rock Hits the Stage in Platform Sneakers
A punk rock approach by the luxury house.
Guram Gvasalia’s VETEMENTS has always portrayed a rebellious image and witty sense of humor through their collections so it doesn’t seem surprising that footwear label New Rock is a favorable partner due to their loud gothic and punk rock aesthetics.
After previous rounds of collaborations, the duo now gears up for another series of releases as part of their Spring/Summer 23 collection. Following the Gamer Ankle Boots, Chain Link Boots and “Marshmallow” pair of Platform Sneaker, images by @greychanger reveals a latest addition to the lineup.
Taking on a more streetwear outlook, the one toned pair has now received a colorful makeover. While the main leather base retains it gothic black hue, the toe cap extension to its collar now opts for white, before a black padded tongue wraps above it.
On the bottom comes a contrasting blue rubber platform sole, equipped with engraved gunmetal hardwares. Lastly, co-branding logos finishes the design on the outer sides of the uppers.
As the VETEMENTS x New Rock collection sees an ongoing release schedule, there is no pre-notice of an official release date so keep an eye out on SSENSE and selected retailers for the latest “Black/White/Blue” edition of the platform sneaker.
Judging from recent releases, the pair will retail at around $1330.
