[Update 15 Feb 2023] fragment’s founder Hiroshi Fujiwara has taken to his Instagram to reveal his own take on the fragment x Converse Chuck 70 By You project. While the upper is covered with the fan favorite “Almond Blossom” pink, Fujiwara opts for a black upper midsole with a white midsole print. His upper print logo of choice is the white “FRGMT” wordmark as opposed to his usual lightning motif. Only a couple of days are left for you to customize this fragment x Converse Chuck 70 By You—will you be your own designer or adopt Fujiwara’s look?

Nike By You, formerly Nike ID, has flourished over the years, giving aspiring sneaker designers an opportunity to personalize models to their own specificities. It’s extended the initiative to their subsidiaries like Converse who’ve found plenty of success ushering guest designers into the fold. One such is Tyler, The Creator for GOLF WANG x Chuck 70 By You.

Taking it up a notch, their next guest is “the godfather of streetwear” himself, the reverent Hiroshi Fujiwara. Come 9 February, for the first time, and limited time only, fans will be able to create their own designs from archival palettes previously established by fragment design and Converse’s long collaborative history.

The FRGMT x Converse By You subsumes the Chuck 70 Hi and Low. Its canvas will be available in six shades of blue or pink, as seen on previous releases, along with houndstooth patterns for the medial and lateral panels.

The streetwear label’s signature lightning bolt, available in two colors, will rest on the lateral heel. Adjacent to it is the “FRGMT” imprint on the split upper on the rear. The One Star’s patches are offered in two options as well, along with customizable pinstripe and dual-branded midsoles.

Make haste for they’ll be available on Converse.com for a short 7-day window. From 9 February as mentioned earlier, 10am, EDT.
