[Update 13 Feb 2023] New images of the upcoming Jordan JT1 “Archer Ave” have emerged, courtesy of @prvt.selection. We get a better 360-degree view of the basketball shoe, as well as a closer look at the uppers’ mesh materials. The Swoosh umbrella has been busy ushering in the next generation of NBA talent. With fellow NBA superstar Ja Morant unveiled more colorways of his new Nike Ja 1 recently, Jayson Tatum and Jordan Brand are also in the midst of debuting his new signature series in the form of the Jordan JT1.
Inspired by his hometown, the upcoming Jordan JT1 “Archer Ave” is a drive down memory lane for the young All-Star. Contrasting the original colorway‘s black and red scheme, this offering sees much of the basketball shoe doused in a clean white makeup, accentuated by university blue and crimson red all across the sneaker.
Taking a deep dive into Tatum’s roots, the overlay panel on the heel sees a set of zeroes embroidered on the top, representing his jersey number for Duke University and the Boston Celtics. Further down on the heel tab, his signature adorns the left pair, while the right bears the fleur-de-lis icon, inspired by King Louis IX of France, a nod to the city of St. Louis.
On the inside of the tongue, the regular “AIR JORDAN” branding has been switched out for the “Archer Ave” street sign, giving rise to the shoe’s title and honoring Tatum’s upbringing, who also has a large tattoo of the street sign on his back.
While there’s no word on when these or the earlier Jordan JT1 will release, you can expect this upcoming Jordan JT1 “Archer Ave” to make its way to Nike and select retailers in the coming months. For now, you can preview the pair via the early images in the top slider above courtesy of @autohao.
