[Update 1 Jun 2023] The Nike Terminator Low “Liberté”, officially know as “Phantom” is slated to release on 13 June via Nike SNKRS and select retailers. Take a look at the official images on the article slider as we anticipate its arrival.

The Terminator was one of several vintage Nike silhouettes brought back last year to much excitement and fanfare. Coming into the 2023, the silhouette has enjoyed a flurry of upcoming releases such as the retro re-releases of the “Georgetown” and “Noble Green”, as well as an upcoming collaboration with COMME des GARÇONS.

Perhaps lesser known is its low-top variation, which saw its return to Nike’s lineup just a week ago with the release of the “Michigan” iteration. With another “Georgetown” in the pipelines, the Swoosh brand is looking to accelerate the Terminator Low’s comeback with the upcoming release of the “Liberté” colorway.

Possibly an ode to the classic “Liberty Leading The People” (La Liberté guidant le peuplepainting, the Nike Terminator Low “Liberté” comes dressed in an amalgam of different materials. The leather mid panel is painted white while its immediate surrounding is dressed in soft suede. A light shade of brown takes on the toe box and heel, while the mudguard and eye stays come in bone grey.

Interestingly, the tongue is constructed with a black crochet-woven fabric, giving the sneaker a handmade feel that varies from the conventional. On the tongue tab and insoles bear the “Liberté” imprint as well as an olive branch, a symbolism of freedom and peace.

While a release date has not been confirmed, you can expect the Nike Terminator Low “Liberté” to release in the coming months. Hang tight as we bring you more updates as soon as we get them, and for the meantime check out an early first look at the upcoming pair via the top slider above.
