The Nike Terminator High first debuted in 1985, and in 2022 it’s experiencing an unprecedented resurgence—more than it ever has in the last four decades. Perhaps it’s the market’s ever-evolving palate that contributed to it, a new appreciation for the old. While the design has largely remained untouched, the newfound love for the silhouette is reaching a fever pitch, and Nike’s striking while the iron is hot.

The Swoosh has enough classics in its back catalogue to keep it at the vanguard for decades to come. When collaborations become dated and new colorways tire, they can dip their hands into their cookie jar once more and dig up another classic, and the cycle repeats.

Such is the fate of the titular pair. Enjoying a renewed attention incited by their collaboration with COMME des GARÇONS Homme, its maker is now riding out the inertia by releasing a slew of inline colorways to keep the window open.

As mentioned, the pair’s spirit is untouched, retaining the aesthetic that was typical of its epoch. This time dressed in a collegiate, tonal color scheme, the construction comes with a full white leather base, complemented by mesh tongues and sock lining.

The various overlays on the mudguard, eye stays, ankle collar, die-cut Swooshes, and outsole is adorned in Noble Green. The laces and the pull tab on the heel counter in Washed Green, where the NIKE logo is imprinted in oversized fashion. Other branding elements appear on the tongue tag, insoles, and through an embossment underfoot.

The pair is scheduled for release at Nike’s brick-and-click store on 1st December with a price tag of US$125.

If this colorway isn’t your cup of tea, check out the polarizing “Panda” colorway.
