If Lost, Please Return these Nike Dunk Low to “1 Bowerman Drive”
Return to Nike HQ, there's probably more where they came from.
Every day, Nike delivers a new iteration of their Dunk Low cash cow. Just because it’s everywhere, doesn’t mean we’ve seen them all.
The latest delivery sees the silhouette’s palette echoing the tones of the impending spring. Over the white canvas base layer, a disparate patchwork construction adorns the various overlays. Quiet pale hues land on the tumbled leather on the mudguard and heel counter, with tan smooth leather bridging these two parts halfway through the forefoot and the eyestays.
On the quarter, the profile Swooshes become an extension of the base, adding contrast through its leather finish. Following the body of the check, eyes are led to the conspicuous orange “NIKE” imprint on the heel tab and the presiding decorative stitching. The design cue takes centerstage however on the tongue, where it frames another Swoosh.
This iteration is an inline release but it stands out from its contemporaries through the underlying theme, aptly hidden on the footbed, featuring graphics depicting some red, blue, and green subway lines, along with the message “IF LOST RETURN TO 1 BOWERMAN DRIVE. BEAVERTON, OREGON”—Nike’s headquarters. All the above sit atop a white midsole and a vintage gum rubber outsole.
Not much is known about the thematic pair but they’re expected to arrive sometime between the spring and summer this year.
While waiting for more information, check out Nike Air Jordan 1 High “Satin Bred”, reportedly set to return in 2023.
