SALOMON is on the up-and-up getting as much coverage these days as most of its contemporaries. They have their own niche, one which they share with Copenhagen-based brand Pas Normal Studios. PNS as well, is best known for their technical cycling clothing, while pushing the boundaries of aesthetics when it comes to function-over-fashion apparel.

Earlier in the week, PNS announced the collaboration on their Instagram account with only a vague reveal on the visuals. But the internet has its ways to bring them to light. The leaks ascertain the existence of a footwear offering along with a dual-branded cycling vest.

The former is set to arrive in a uniform brown colorway and another in a tonal grey. An official name hasn’t disclosed by either parties but the high-cut trekking boots will feature a secondary bootie design that envelopes the shoes inside. A zipper bearing SALOMON’s branding run across from the vamp to the height of the ankle, where it converges with a buttoned lock system for added security.

PNS’s branding rests on the lateral heel where it presides over S/LAB’s, Salomon’s innovation division on the midsole. Another one can be seen on the toe cap. Further in, although the images are reticent about it, the shoes are seen to have a breathable mesh construction along with a toggle-lock lacing design.

Not much is known about the collection just yet. Even PNS have only gone as far as announcing that it will be their first collaboration with the French brand. When news gets to us, expect that we’ll get them to you.
