Nike Pays a Second Tribute to Atlanta With Air Force 1 Low
The Air Force 1 Low "Atlanta" follows a Dunk Low of the same name.
Nike seems to have pinpointed Atlanta as a hotspot on their map of references this year. With two dunk lows dedicated to the A-Town already on its way, the first being the “Clark Atlanta University”-inspired pair while the other is a more traditional red “Atlanta” design, Nike is now set to add another Air Force 1 that’s titled after the city.
The design elements of this upcoming Air Force 1 “Atlanta” largely resembles that of the latter Dunk Low mentioned above. This offering sports crimson red smooth leather on its overlays, while orange suede dresses the mid panels and toe box. The semi-translucent TPU Swoosh utilizes a slightly brighter hue, giving the sneaker a slight pop in terms of color.
Perhaps the statement of the silhouette is the stamped-on “ATL” motif, representing Atlanta, on both the heel and the insole, dressed in a luxe shade of gold that exudes royalty.
Similar to its Dunk Low counterpart, a release date has not been confirmed for this upcoming Air Force 1 Low model, but do expect it to release around the same time as its sister silhouette at a retail price point of US$120. Stay tuned as we’ll bring you the latest updates once we get them.
