Nike SB Dunk Low “Heineken 2.0” Cheers to the New Year
The Dunks crack open an ice cold Heineken from 2003.
Beverages seem to be a source of inspiration for the Nike SB team in the upcoming year. Alongside an anticipated Jarritos collaboration bubbling in the Swoosh’s backroom, the skateboarding division also revisits it archives to crack open the “Heineken” colorway from 2003.
Inspired by the titular can, this “Heineken 2.0” iteration is expected to utilise a similar Green/White/Red colorblocking. Think the Dutch beer company’s Green on overlaid on white, while branding and laces are dipped in a bright red. The cherry on top is the embroidered red star on the lateral heel that (unofficially) calls to the pale lager. Ironically, while it’s not entirely clear if the sequel will mimic the original’s design, @jfgrails reveals that more information will land in the new year.
In the meantime, check out the OG Nike SB Dunk Low “Heineken” photographed by Sotheby’s in the slider gallery above. In other Nike releases not to miss, the 80’s Nike Air Alpha Forces are making a comeback.
