ADER ERROR and Converse Announce First Global Collab
The ADER ERROR x Converse Chuck 70 drops in less than two weeks.
After months of leaks and speculation, it looks like the highly-anticipated ADER ERROR x Converse collab will finally be arriving. Both ADER ERROR and Converse dropped a teaser video titled “The New is Not New”, announcing the “first global collaboration” between the footwear giant and the rising Korean fashion label.
While no official images or release details were released by either brand, trusted sneaker account @le.syndrome has once again given us some early sneaks of the collaboration. Images show a much cleaned-up version of the distressed ADER ERROR x Converse Chuck 70, first seen via lookbook images months ago.
Keeping to a blue and white color scheme—an ADER ERROR trademark—the ADER ERROR x Converse Chuck 70 features blue-on-white patchwork paneling, yellowed toebox and midsole, and scribbled marker text. Co-branding details can be spotted on the tongue, now in a suede texture, and the insole.
With their collaborative Chuck 70, ADER ERROR and Converse has elevated the distressed sneaker through masterful layering and an eye for detail. Alongside the sneaker, the duo is also dropping a “distressed” apparel collection that includes bomber jacket, hoodie, sweatpants and t-shirt.
According to @le.syndrome, a series of events has been planned for the launch, starting with a pop-up exhibition on 7 and 8 January 2023. The ADER ERROR x Converse Chuck 70 will first release through the ADER ERROR webstore on 9 January for KRW129,000 (~US$102), with a wider release happening on 12 January. Stay tuned as more official release info and imagery come through!
