As the footwear market gradually reaches a point of saturation, some may wonder “What defines a cool sneaker?”. With that question comes an answer with Japanese labels Maison MIHARA YASUHIRO, #FR2 and atmos. Following the previous PETERSON and HANK models, the trio has officially return for another sneaker release to end off the year of 2022.

Marking their third collaborative release, the trio puts the spotlight on the Wayne Low Leather. The term “cool” is definitely not an overstatement with MMY’s deformed aesthetics and premium choice of materials with patent, suede and smooth leathers. Decorated with #FR2’s rabbit emblems and heel logos, the signature “Smoking Kills” message can also be found on the toe areas. With contrasting black and white panels on each sides, a vintage finish is added to the outsoles for a versatile yet unique outlook.

Arriving alongside the sneaker comes a “Smoking Kills” sweatshirt with a patchwork detailing of MMY’s logo on the bottom back. Given #FR2’s nature of putting a fun and provocative take on fashion, “Maison MIHARA RABBITS” text replaces the original branding with a “Did you know? Smoking is good for the environment because it kills human beings.” typograhpy below it.

Set to release on 31st December, the raffle draw for the #FR2 x atmos x Maison MIHARA YASUHIRO Wayne Low Leather will be open from 28th to 30th December. Each pair will retail at 48,400 JPY (~US$365).
