First Look: New Balance M1906v2 “Protection Pack”
Call it rugged... elegance.
The titular Protection Pack is easily one of New Balance’s best offerings. Thus far, it’s included many iterations of the 2002R and some of the 1906. Many more have been scheduled for 2023 and soon enough, another will join their ranks. Here’s the latest inductee.
Seen here, the hallmark white double mesh base layer is a mainstay; while the signature “worn and torn” suede overlays, adorn it with an earthy mix of colors, bar the pink—albeit in a neutral tone. Green rests on the toe cap and quarter, and alternating between these spaces is the aforementioned pink on the toe box, topmost eyestays, and the heel counter. Soft golden accents the recognizable sole unit on the heel.
As for the finishing touches, black makes its own space on the N-Lock on the profiles, TPU heel cages, and the outsoles underfoot.
Nothing much is known about the pair just yet, as far as its official name, price point, etc. Expect them to be released sometime within early-2023 as the curtains close on the year.
